September 13, 2022The Regular meeting of the Sidney Town Board was called to order by the Supervisor at 7:00 p.m. July 14, 2022, in the boardroom at 44 Grand Street, Sidney. Prior to the meeting, bills were audited by the Board.

Monthly reports of Supervisor, Bookkeeper, and Town Clerk. The clerk is submitting checks totaling in
$ 1,202.00 fees collected during May 2022.

HIGHWAY– Highway Superintendent- James Roberts: Had an interview with 7 applicants for the highway department and asked for a motion to hire a new crew member. A motion was made by Mr. Wilson and seconded by B. Hunt carried. AYES: B. Heath, P. Muratore, F. Selleck. NAYES: NONE
Having issues with road signs being stolen on Franklin Depot Rd, which the cost is 500.00 for replacing them. An Investigation is ongoing. Cut some trees down on River Rd. Working on Crane Hill Rd and paving should start on July 19, 2022.
SUPERVISOR– Eric Wilson- Did a short-term T-bill with good rates. The town is in good shape but needs to start getting ready for budget meetings as this year could be challenging with the cost of things being high. Joe Ermeti- Town Attorney negotiating a new lease with Bassett, the space in the hospital. New signs for the Town Building are here and will be placed. Cameras have been installed on the Court side. LED lights have also been installed in the Town Building.
BOOKKEEPER– Karen Kropp: Nothing to report
TOWN CLERK– Sheila Paul: Assemblyman Joe Angelino presented the Town with “ The Assembly State of New York Proclamation” which hangs on the wall at the Town Building.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Highway-Selleck & Wilson: Nothing
Hospital– Hunt/ Wilson: cameras have been installed at the back of the building. In the process of installing fuel tanks for the hospital. LED lights are scheduled to be installed in August.
Insurance–Heath / Hunt: Nothing to report
Zoning & Planning– Muratore/ Selleck: Planning board meeting scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022
East Sidney Lake– Heath/ Selleck: Sales are up 12 % from last year. Signs regarding boating rules need to be updated. Plan on earmarking money to update the playground.
Finance-Muratore/ Wilson: Attend a budget webinar, which was very informational.
IT– Hunt/ Muratore: East Sidney Lake has two-thirds of the campsites with internet access. Password has been distributed to campers on July 9, 2022, with no big issues to report
DCO liaison– Heath: nothing
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
At 8:05 p.m. Mr. Wilson\’s motioned to get into Executive Session to discuss Personnel issues, it was seconded by Mr. Heath and carried. AYES: B. Hunt, P. Muratore, F. Selleck. NAYES: None
