July 31, 2012It\’s more than just flood control, the East Sidney Lake Park allows visitors to enjoy a scenic park and lake, operated by the Town of Sidney.
A treasured resource in the Town of Sidney, the East Sidney Dam and accompanying recreational site is a great place to enjoy outdoor activities nearby, such as swimming, boating, camping or picnicking. The dam was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control of the Susquehanna River basin, but residents can enjoy the resulting lake and scenery that have come about because of those efforts.
